Why do hotels offer lowest price guarantees for direct bookings?
Because they prefer to receive as few reservations as possible from booking websites, such as Booking, Expedia, and Hotels. These booking websites require sky-high commissions (around 12% per booking).

Therefore, your accommodation can afford itself to offer you a lowest price guarantee, and often also an extra discount and/or service extras. Chances are that you will come across very attractive offers on Booking.com, for example. Do not book directly through the booking website, but check the rates on the official website of the accommodation. In most cases there are no price differences. However, a direct reservation can often be cheaper, because of the extras that are given.

What if you did not receive the lowest price?
In most cases, when you have booked directly through the official website of a lodging accommodation, you will receive the lowest price charged for a particular room / apartment in a given booking period.
If this is not the case, you can contact our helpdesk. We will then try to figure out what went wrong and whether you might get something back.
